These are the prostheses of one our first and favorite clients! She takes impeccable care of her pieces. You can see over time that the silicone in the older pieces is breaking down and also observe sculptural changes as our techniques have improved over time. The average lifespan of our upper extremity pieces is 2-5 years. In many cases, changes in the fitting needs of a client with natural body changes necessitate a new piece before wear and tear.
